What is APDA ?
APDA is a fusion of Physie and the art of dance. Members learn 4 – 6 choreographed routines throughout the year, each with its own specific skill-set and focus on movement, musicality, technique, performance, flexibility, cardio and strength – all in one class!

Natasha Watts
Principal/Head Teacher
Miss Tash has over 30 years of dance and more recenlty physie experience. Orignally from South Africa, Miss Tash started dancing at the age of 3 in Ballet, Contempary, Jazz and Arcobatics. She completed all Cecchetti Ballet and Modern Dance exams up to Advanced level, obtaining either higly commended or honours for the results.
She also achieved her Solo seal award for modern dance, which is only awarded to the top girls in the country. Miss Tash competed in many group and individual open age Eisteddfods every year winning many awards.
Miss Tash completed her Associate Degree In Dance from QUT and has taught Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary for other dance schools before finding APDA.
Her passion for dance shines through her teaching and competing. Miss Tash loves working with children and adults of all ages and enjoys helping and watching her students reach their full potential.
Most recent results include 2 time National Finalist within the APDA Physie culture.
Debbie Jackson
Associate
With 30 years of dance and physical culture experience, Miss Debbie prides herself on her passion and dedication to the sport.
Debbie has achieved many successful competition results in physie nationally and still competes to this day!
As our rock and queen of dance knowledge at Luna Dance, our members have fallen in love with Miss Debbie and her nurturing, kind and gentle nature.
Many don’t know Miss Debbie was once a professional water skier where she performed stunts and tricks at theme parks, including being at the top of a 6 man pyramid!
Simone Jackson Associate
Miss Simone has 30 years of dance and physie experience.
Starting at the age of 4, she began physical culture, ballet, jazz and tap in Newcastle, New South Wales.
She completed many RAD ballet exams from the age of 5 through to 17, in addition to tap exams.
Each year competing in troupe and individual open age eisteddfods, many successful titles and results were obtained.
Miss Simone has travelled to the USA and Canada where she performed alongside her dance troupe in various cities.
More recent results include two national places within Physical Culture and being a three time national finalist.
Teaching dance has been a passion since she was 19 and has loved the journey working with children/adults of all ages - helping them to reach their dreams and aspirations!
Miss Simone is also a qualified scientist from the University of QLD focusing on ecological management with native and introduced species.
